Chaniya Wess

Associate Therapist

I recently graduated from the University of San Diego and received a MA in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling. During my internship I gained experience working with the veteran
population and specialized in trauma informed care. I received manualized training in Cognitive
Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Written Exposure Therapy. In sessions I
implemented evidence based treatments and helped individuals manage combat and childhood
trauma, anxiety, and depression from a cognitive behavioral lens. I believe that what we think
and do oftentimes affect the way that we feel, therefore I work to help provide clients the skills to
challenge negative thoughts that can be impacting their day to day functioning.

I value having a collaborative approach and actively working together with my clients to help
them achieve their goals. Creating a safe space is a priority, along with ensuring my clients feel
supported on their mental health journey. One of my goals is to help you regain your confidence
and empower yourself to navigate life’s challenges.
